किसी क्रिस्टल में विभिन्न संरचनात्मक इकाइयों जैसे परमाणु अणु आयन की त्रिविमीय व्यवस्था को दिक जालक या क्रिस्टल जालक या जालक कहते हैं। क्रिस्टल जालक मे संरचनात्मक इकाइयों को बिन्दुओ द्वारा प्रदर्शित करते है इन विन्दुओं को क्रिस्टल बिन्दु या जालक स्थल कहते हैं।

एक आदर्श क्रिस्टल जालक को निम्न प्रकार प्रदर्शित कर सकते है।





आदर्श क्रिस्टल जालक के प्रमुख लक्षण:- 

1.क्रिस्टल जालक मे प्रत्येक बिंदु क्रिस्टल की संरचनात्मक इकाइयों की स्थिति को व्यक्त करता है।

2.क्रिस्टल जालक मे प्रत्येक बिन्दु का परिवेश अन्य बिन्दुओं के परिवेश के समान होता है।

3.क्रिस्टल जालक वास्तव में कई छोटे - छोटे त्रिविम समूहों के मिलने बनाता है उन छोटे - छोटे त्रिविम समूहों को इकाई सेल कहते है।



The three-dimensional arrangement of various structural units such as atoms, molecules, and ions in a crystal is called the Diagonal lattice or crystal lattice or lattice. The structural units in the crystal lattice are represented by points, these points are called crystal points or lattice sites.


An ideal crystal lattice can be represented as follows.










Main characteristics of ideal crystal lattice: -


1. Each point in the crystal lattice represents the position of the structural units of the crystal.


2. The surroundings of each point in the crystal lattice are similar to the surroundings of other points.


3. The crystal lattice actually makes up many small stereoscopic groups, those small stereoscopic groups are called unit cells.
