यह किसी आवेशिता वस्तु पर 1 कूलॉम का स्थिर आवेश है तो इसका अर्थ यह है कि उस वस्तु पर 6.25 x 10¹⁸ इलेक्ट्रॉन की कमी है या तो अधिकता है अर्थात् 6.25 X10¹⁸ इलेक्ट्रॉन का कुल आवेश एक कूलॉम के बराबर होता है।

यदि किसी चालक मे 1 ऐम्पियर की धारा 1 sec. प्रवाहित हो तो उस चालक से वहने वाला आवेश 1 कूलाम होगा।
